The Beehive Inn

For some 200 years the pub has been serving the villagers and visitors in a warm and hospitable manner. The open fire roaring up the chimney, the locals holding forth in friendly banter, creating an atmosphere which, it has been commented by visitors, "is better than Ambridge".

It boasts of being the smallest pub in Nottinghamshire and until the 1970's, when a small extension was added, claimed to be the smallest in the country.

Percy Whitworth was for many years the landlord and the claim was at that time, the smallest pub with largest Landlord. He was of immensely rotund proportions, climbing the ladder to his bedroom above the bar was no mean feat. History
