Set in a beautiful English garden on an overcast summer’s day, it’s not surprising that our Village Fete was enjoyed by everyone who came.
Heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the success of the day by giving their support in so many ways, and particularly to David and Eve for allowing us, yet again, to share their garden for the afternoon. Not forgetting the Morris dancing by the wonderful Mickleborough Morris Men who kindly donate their time to the fete each year and for which the village is most grateful.
Many thanks also to those who brought along their money and spent it on:

..another record !
What a day! The sun blazed down upon a scene which, had it not been for modern costumes, could have come out of a Victorian novel, everything was glorious. This year we have raised a record £1254.40p this is divided equally between St Radegunds Church and the Turton Memorial Hall.

Annual Garden Fete 25th June 2011
A slightly muggy day with clouds threatening but never a drop of rain, once again we were lucky with the weather.
This year we have raised a record £875.35p this is divided equally between St Radegunds Church and the Turton Memorial Hall. Well done to all those who work so hard to make the event so successful each year and special thanks to the kindness of two village members who lent their beautiful garden for the day. Many thanks to the musicians and the Mickleborough Morris Men, without whom this would not be a complete and most enjoyable day.
